Behind the Strings - Sept./Oct. 2006

by Dulcie Guinty

Released on Friday, September 1st, 2006

Just east of the Anchor in Old Town, Wichita you'll find a blue-green door at 1113 1/2 E. Douglas. Through that door and up the stairs you are likely to be greeted with the sweet sounds of some good down-home pickin'; but don't be fooled -- you have entered the Pride of Gumbo. Jeff Eaton, proprietor and most popularly known as that thumpin' bass man for Split Lip Rayfield, is the man to talk to about all your silk screen printing needs. After working in screen printing for about 10 years for another local sign company, he decided it was time to try it for himeslf. Remembering his roots, Jeff named his new enterprise after the small Missouri town he grew up in: Gumbo, MO. In this location for a year, it seems he has settled in nicely in his upper room with an efficient and welcoming space.

Pride of Gumbo is offering quality T-shirts, posters, banners, signs, etc. at an affordable price for musicians and bands in as quick a time as possible. Having recently done some business with him myself, I can attest to that and would recommend Pride of Gumbo to everyone.

In addition to fast service, a discount and quality products, Jeff will even waive the setup fee for orders of 25 or more. What a guy and what an awesome deal. The next time you are in need of some promotional merchandise, remember Jeff's got a deal too good to pass up. Besides, musicians helping musicians is good for the circle of life! Another fine example of real life behind the strings . . . .
